Hello ask-italia!

I should say this has happened before! Arthur was mugged whilst taking the children to the park. He got away with a few bruises, a sprained arm, and a few broken ribs but the mugger wasn’t caught. Good thing the children followed his orders and ran away while he tried to beat him up. We are very grateful neither of the children were hurt and that Arthur wasn’t shot (I had later learned the mugger had a gun).

I was very worried and went to the hospital as quick as I possibly can when Alfred called me on his cell phone. We gave the twins a cheap cellphone to use for emergencies and I was so glad we did! I have never felt so angry and horrified when I saw my husband in a hospital bed. 

After that incident Al & Matt would try to crawl in our beds for weeks. My poor darling boys, they were so scared.

Good day!

As for my question, Francis & I already have a back-up plan. His family is rich and he has some land he inherited from his grandmother. I can still write my articles from France and Francis can just set up another shop there. We are lucky that the community we have here is very accepting and respectful so we never had any problems.

The children already know some French and would easily blend in with a French community. I could say their French is better than mine, even!

Our children’s safety is our top priority and we always watch out for any discrimination they might face.
